 Popular deep-fried bread known as puri is frequently served with different Indian dishes. Here is a straightforward recipe for puri:




Ingredients:

  • two cups of whole grain flour
  • 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil and 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  •  For kneading the dough, use warm water.

 Instructions:

1. Combine salt and whole wheat flour in a sizable mixing bowl.


2. The flour mixture needs 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil, which is added and combined.


3. Mix the dough while gradually adding warm water until it becomes smooth and elastic.


4. The dough should be kneaded for about 5-7 minutes before being wrapped in plastic or a damp cloth. Give it 15 to 20 minutes to rest.


5. After the dough has rested, give it another minute or two of kneading.


6.Make lemon-sized balls out of the dough.


7.Take one dough ball and gently press it down.


8. Roll the dough into a circle that is about 3–4 inches in diameter using a rolling pin.


9. A deep frying pan with medium-high heat is used to heat the oil.


10.Drop the puri that has been carefully rolled out into the hot oil and fry it until it puffs up and turns golden brown.
